What this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and who else receives it. Last updated 17 October 2026.

Who runs this site

Bruno Pierri Galvao, the author of the books, runs books.satsuma.one and is responsible for the data described here. Email about the books is sent from an address that cannot receive replies; to reach him about your data, write to [email protected].

Reading

Cloudflare, which hosts this site, processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request in order to deliver them. Where you stopped reading is kept in your browser's storage, not on our server.

Subscribing

When you subscribe to a book, we store your email address, the book, the site language, which form you used, your invite code, the invite code of whoever invited you, when you subscribed and confirmed, and, once you earn it, the link to your free copy. Emails are sent through Cloudflare's email service.

We email you to confirm your address, when your invites open more of the book, and occasionally about that book. Some books also offer a short email course, which you join by subscribing. Every email has a link to unsubscribe. When a friend you invited confirms, we count them; we never tell you who they are.

Unsubscribing stops the emails, and chapters you opened stay open. To have your record deleted, write to [email protected].

Buying a book

Purchases happen on Leanpub, under Leanpub's own terms and privacy policy. We don't receive your payment details.

Cookies, analytics and fonts

Necessary cookies. Confirming your email sets a cookie that opens the chapters you have unlocked in this browser, for one year, for that book only. Your answer to the analytics question is kept in a cookie for six months.

Analytics, only with your consent. If you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are read, how far into each chapter readers get, which links and buttons they use, and how many readers subscribe, confirm and go on to Leanpub. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, details of your device and browser, and the pages you view. Google acts as our processor and may process this data in the United States. We never send it your email address, your invite code or your free-copy link, and we don’t use this data for advertising. Nothing is loaded from Google Analytics and no analytics cookie is set unless you allow it; “Only necessary” keeps it off. You can change your answer at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page.

How long analytics data is kept. Google Analytics deletes data linked to a visitor's cookie no later than 14 months after that visitor's last visit.

Fonts. Pages in Korean load a font from Google Fonts. When one opens, your browser sends Google your IP address and browser details, whatever your answer to the analytics question.

Your choices

We keep subscriber data to give you what you asked for: the chapters and the emails. Analytics runs only on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to [email protected].
